STAFF ACCOUNTANT POSITION (FULL-TIME)

We are a well-established, full-service tax and accounting firm, seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Process client payrolls as well as ensuring compliance with payroll laws
Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
Enter client data into Quickbooks on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis
Review client accounting records and perform closing journal entries
Preparation of account reconciliations
Manage one or more client assignments simultaneously
Prepare individual and business tax returns a plus
Build strong working relationships with clients and peers

Qualifications, skills and experience:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business

Self-driven with ability to manage their time relative to deadlines
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Transactional analysis and problem solving
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Experience with QuickBooks
Familiarity with Creative Solutions Fixed Asset Software and Ultra Tax software preferred
Ability to work independently and multi-task within a group environment
